Development Directors of Ontario
The Development Directors of Ontario (DDO) meet as a subcommittee under the charter, mission, mandate, and membership structure of the Regional Planning Commissioners of Ontario (RPCO).
The DDO supports strong provincial-municipal planning partnerships to ensure great land use outcomes The group shares information and implementation of best practises, policies, programs, and approaches that are related to land development. The DDO works collectively to monitor, review, and where appropriate, provide comments and recommendations on the activities and reports of other agencies involved in land use planning.
Generally, DDO will meet quarterly, and at the call of the Chair. Additional specialized meetings or workshops may be called to address specific issues and opportunities. Prior to setting the 2019 workplan, the DDO chair coordinated the work plan with other chairs of the RPCO subcommittees to relate on matters of common interest and expertise
